Professional Development For Adults

Are you interested in developing expressive arts, enterprise, creative learning or child-led learning within your school or teaching practice? Whilst setting up a dedicated Room 13 space can be a commitment for any school, there are many elements of the approach that can be applied in teaching the arts and other subjects, and in other areas of school life, to the benefit of children and learning.

Or are you an individual or organisation interested in Room 13?

Room 13 Hareclive can provide presentations, seminars, workshops, training and development sessions around different elements of the Room 13 approach, and we are experienced at delivering sessions for different audiences, ages and aims.

Background

Room 13 is a highly acclaimed, child-led and managed arts and enterprise project within mainstream education that has spread from one room in a Scottish primary school to over 70 studios worldwide. Each studio works to develop creativity, enterprise and independent thinking in children.

Room 13 Hareclive is the longest running and most experienced Room 13 studio in England. Ofsted recognises our contribution to the development of 'creative and expressive arts', 'independent and work-place skills' and 'community cohesion' in our host school. Independent research has also shown important outcomes for children who use the studio regularly including: artistic development, enterprise skills, increased confidence and aspirations, and the development of both Core and Key Skills.
