Our practice

Room 13 is in essence a set of principles, which is why it can happen anywhere and does not necessarily require a lot of resources. And, everywhere it happens, it seems that children learn and create in a different way.

And yet, although these principles are simple and the benefits are great, the beliefs behind them challenge much of the still-dominant thinking and related systems around children, creativity and education. So it is only in places where people are open to these ideas, even if just to try them out, that a Room 13 can truly grow.

More info sharing the Room 13 Hareclive approach and the practice of artist educators Shani Ali and Paul Bradley coming soon, as we develop and update our website to represent 20 years.
